What makes it so great?
It's visually interesting - vibrant, lots of high quality images, blocks of colour, clear grid, uncluttered. There are some elements that stay the same on each page such as the header, the large image at the top, the category section at the bottom, and the hints of yellow, but the text and arrangement of images and other elements can change in the middle section depending on what's appropriate for the content. This is something that the Dominion Post website doesn't do currently - all of the pages are basically the same - boring.
How can the Dominion Post become more current, interesting, engaging to inspire and inform the Wellington community of what's happening in their neighbourhood, city, region, nation and world? Maybe these can be sections..?
The advertisements within WellingtonNZ are embedded within the article text or in different sections relevant to the category or page. How could this work in a news website?
